Overall ad spending for the first nine months of the year is down 0.6% according to Nielsen’s latest report.. (but) most television segments up.

Network cable leads all reported media with an 8.4% gain

Local cable numbers are not reported by Nielsen. In line with all other reports, local newspaper is doing worse than any medium, down 8.7%, with local Sunday supplements even worse at a
9.9% decline.
